Little Lives Project: New Professional Guidelines
Little Lives is a new International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC)-funded project dedicated to improving the identification, investigation, and interpretation of fetal and infant remains in both archaeological and forensic contexts.
Bringing together expertise from across the fields of bioarchaeology, forensic anthropology, and human osteology, the project aims to develop evidence-based guidelines and best practice recommendations for the recovery, analysis, and reporting of these often underrepresented remains.
By establishing consistent standards, Little Lives seeks to enhance research quality, support humanitarian and forensic investigations, and deepen our understanding of the lives and deaths of the youngest members of past and present populations.
